Collection of each step you need to complete to set up your Klar account.

1️⃣ Connect your store


2️⃣ Connect your marketing data sources

• These are one-click integrations mostly - just click "Connect Data Source" in the Store Configurator Section and choose the ad account you'd like to add

• Make sure you have admin rights to those marketing accounts to connect them properly!

  • Facebook Ads

  • Google Ads

  • TikTok

  • Pinterest


3️⃣ Connect Google Analytics 4


4️⃣ Input your COGS

• Happens automatically if COGS are properly set up in Shopify

• Otherwise configure your COGS either per SKU through a Google Sheet or as a fallback percentage


5️⃣ Configure Transaction & Logistics Costs

• Configure your payment costs

• Configure regions and the corresponding logistics costs

• You’ll find this in your shop datasource by selecting the “Costs” tab


6️⃣ Using the Klar Attribution/Pixel Feature

  • Setting up your Klar Pixel can be split into 3 steps:

    • Verifying your domain

    • Implementing the Klar tracking script

    • Updating your URL/UTM parameters

  • After implementing the Klar Pixel in your store, you need to make sure to understand how it works to generate insights using it.

7️⃣ Add Custom & Overhead Costs (optional)

  • Could be any additional cost, which is not imported via the data sources.
    E.g. Office rent, software licenses, salary.


8️⃣ Track your Custom Marketing Costs (optional)

• These could be any custom costs of agencies, influencers or affiliates

• You can track influencers and affiliates even more accurately with our Influencer & Affiliate Reporting


9️⃣ Track your influencer & affiliate partnerships

• You can input your business goals for a target-actual comparison


🥈 Customize your data sources

• Filter your stores

• Configure product information

• Exclude orders

• Identify replacement orders


🥇 Configure your marketing channels
