Explanation
New Customers are the Count of Unique Customers who placed their first Gross Order in the selected Date Range.
Notes
Customers that purchase a "Gift Card" in their first order are also treated as new customers even though they aren't by Shopify.
This distinguishes from New Customer as here is no filter if the order was gross or not. So someone can be a Gross New Customer but not a New Customer, if the order wasn't a Net Order.
