Klar allows you to convert costs and revenues from any datasource (shop, ad account, google sheet) into your target currency based on daily spot exchange rates.

How to configure this:

  1. 🎯 Change Display/Target Currency
The display/target currency is the currency you see in all of your reports for that store container.

To configure this go to "Settings" > "Datasources" and press the three dots in the top-right corner of the store container you want to edit.

If you change this to €, we will use the € symbol in your reports and expect this to be your target currency (the currency you want all your data sources to be converted into).

  2. πŸ’± Converting Datasource Currencies

Whenever one of your datasource's actual currency is not matching your display/target currency you need to convert it.

You do this by pressing the three dots in the top-right corner of the datasource and choosing "Edit datasource" > "General Settings".

In the "Currency Setting" you set the actual (or source) currency the datasource uses.

This lets us know which currency you want to convert into your target currency.

Here is an example:

Store Container: "All Data Combined"

  • Display/Target Currency: "€"

Datasources:

  • Shopify "EU Shop" - using "€" πŸ‘‰ Nothing to configure because the actual currency matches the target currency.

  • Shopify "UK Shop" - using "Β£" πŸ‘‰ Need to set the datasource currency (step 2) to "Β£" so Klar converts it into "€".

  • Shopify "US Shop" - using "$" πŸ‘‰ Need to set the datasource currency (step 2) to "$" so Klar converts it into "€".
