How the Integration Works
The Awin integration brings your affiliate marketing data directly into Klar, without needing a separate third-party connector.
This lets you look at affiliate performance, commissions, and attributed revenue alongside your other marketing channels, rather than switching between platforms to piece everything together.
The integration is for advertiser accounts only. Awin publisher accounts aren’t supported.
What Data Is Included?
The integration is designed to import:
Date and campaign: The day of the activity and the Awin publisher (affiliate) it came from.
Clicks: Affiliate clicks.
Total cost: Publisher commission on pending and approved transactions.
Ad account revenue: Awin revenue.
Ad account orders: Awin transactions.
Amounts are converted from your Awin data source's currency into your shop currency.
How To Connect Awin
Before You Start
Have the advertiser ID for the Awin account you want to connect ready.
If you manage multiple advertiser accounts, make sure you’re using the ID for the account whose data you want in Klar.
How To Connect
In the left sidebar, go to Store Configurator → Data Sources
Click Add Data Source → Add New Data Source
Search for or select Awin
Enter a name for the store (e.g.
Awin), the API token, and the advertiser ID, then click Connect.
Already Using Another Awin Connection?
Don’t simply add the direct integration alongside your existing feed and assume everything will sort itself out.
If the same Awin activity is imported through both connections, costs could be counted twice. Coordinate the migration with your Klar contact so the existing feed and the new connection are handled together.
Understanding Your Awin Data
Historical Data and Daily Updates
The integration supports an initial historical extraction, followed by daily incremental updates. Klar refreshes figures periodically throughout the day, and re-checks your data every night.
Why Can Previously Reported Figures Change?
Awin transactions can move from pending to approved or declined. Klar re-checks the last 60 days every night, so status changes in that period are picked up automatically.
That means a figure you saw previously may change as transaction statuses are updated. A change in historical figures isn’t necessarily a reporting error (it reflects an update to the underlying Awin data).
How Are Network Fees Handled?
In your Awin data source settings, turn on “Include network fees” to add Awin's network fees to your Awin marketing costs. They then count toward CAC. It's off by default; leave it off if you already record these fees elsewhere.
When it's on, Klar:
Includes the fee on pending and approved transactions. Declined ones are excluded.
Assigns each fee to its transaction date.
Doesn't include Awin's fixed monthly platform fee.
Why Might Network Fees Differ From an Awin Invoice?
Fees are attributed by transaction date, while Awin invoices may group them by validation period.
Those different date bases mean totals for the same reporting period may not match exactly.
Klar also includes fees on pending transactions, while Awin only invoices approved ones.

No. This integration is specifically for Awin advertiser data.
What Does “Ad Account Orders” Mean?
This maps to transactions in Awin. Similarly, ad account revenue maps to Awin revenue.
How Far Back Can I Import Data?
When you connect Awin, Klar imports the last 60 days. If you need older data, please contact us to run a historical import, and import more of the historical data.
Can I Keep My Existing Awin Connector Running?
Coordinate this with your Klar contact before making changes. Overlapping connections could import the same activity twice and duplicate costs.
Does the Integration Include Awin’s Monthly Platform Fee?
No. Awin doesn't provide Klar with the fixed monthly platform fee. If you pay one, kindly add it as a custom cost in Klar.
