After more than two years of successfully helping hundreds of brands scale their businesses, we felt it was time for an upgrade. Klar has always been about empowering hundreds of D2C brands with tools to drive acquisition, maximize retention, and achieve sustainable profitability.

The world of D2C is constantly evolving, and so are the challenges brands face. To keep up with the growing complexity and pace of marketing and customer journeys, we upgraded our data infrastructure and built Klar Pulse - redefining how your data is pulled and modeled. Having been in development for over a year.

Introducing Klar Pulse: Better Data for Better Decisions

Klar Pulse is the major upgrade of our whole data architecture and thus your reporting & attribution data.

With Klar Pulse, your revenue, sales, and attribution numbers are always fresh and up to date, allowing you to make decisions quickly, and see results sooner.

It syncs & models your data faster, sharper, better.

Pulse has been in development for over a year. In addition to rapid updates, Pulse represents a significant improvement to the Klar platform.

How You Benefit From Klar Pulse:

1. Super fast & automated updates

Shopify orders now sync with Klar almost instantly and automatically, keeping your data up to date and ready for analysis. Marketing platforms like Facebook and Google also update in a timely manner (= every hour), so you always have the latest insights at your fingertips.

When Pulse is enabled, you'll see small Pulse icon at the top right of your reports, indicating its availability and data sync status.

2. Optimised attribution algorithms for most accurate, consistent tracking and modeling

Our refined algorithm ensures even greater accuracy & consistency by

  • Improving the weighting of sessions and touch-points, boosting relevance and reducing the impact of noise

  • Consistent journey tracking with influencer collaborations and post-purchase touch-points reliably being positioned at the correct stages of a customer journey

  • Improved mapping between marketing data and attribution sources

  • Enhanced session data stitching

  • More accurate order adjustments with refunds processed via order adjustments now reflecting the correct refund date and taxes and shipping revenues being recalculated more accurately

  • Enhanced logistics costs and bundle calculations for even greater precision

The result? Better clarity on your true revenue metrics, ensuring that your reports align with your actual transaction timelines, and minimized data inaccuracies.

In total: cleaner, more reliable insights to inform your daily decisions.

3. Infinite Historical Attribution Data

Access your attribution data across all historical time ranges (from the point in time you implemented the Klar pixel), giving you unparalleled insights into long-term trends and performance metrics.

4. Google Paid Search Keyword Mapping

For Google Paid Search, you can now drill down into keyword-level performance for your campaigns, seamlessly integrated into your reporting.

How To Activate Klar Pulse

Account owners can turn Pulse on and off without any risk.

It needs to be enabled for each store in your account individually. Simply go to your Store Configurator and in the Store Settings of each store tick "Use Pulse".

After activating, it takes between seconds and some minutes (depending on the size of your store) until it is running on the new architecture.

You'll see the small Pulse icon at the top right of each report this is available for.

Limitations November 2024:
Pulse is currently available for the Daily Overview, the Attribution Reports, the P&L and the Revenue & Profit Flex Table.

The automated frequent data updates are running between 8am and 10pm GMT+1.

We're working on expanding this time frame and also the reports range in the future.

FAQ

Q: Some of the metrics in my reports changed significantly after I enabled Pulse. Was the data wrong before?

A: Pulse represents a significant evolution of Klar's data structure from processing terabytes of data. We performed extensive testing before rolling it out to ensure accuracy, but with so many unique accounts, we couldn't dive deeply into every individual case.

If you feel the changes are too extreme to be explained by the improvements we've outlined above, please don't hesitate to reach out. We're here to help and can work with you to understand the updates and ensure everything aligns with your expectations.

Q: Do I need to pay extra for Pulse?

A: No. Pulse is an internal upgrade affecting all of our infrastructure and is included both in our Core & Attribution plan.

Q: But I like the old one better! Can I keep it?

A: If you're encountering any problems or bugs after enabling Pulse, please reach out to our Customer Success team immediately. We try to iron out any initial problems with Pulse as soon as possible.

We plan to roll-out Pulse to all of our customers latest by January 2025, switching over completely from our previous architecture.
